Terms and Conditions

terms

Terms of Service:

The material in the Dublin Quarterly is either solicited or unsolicited. And the terms of the solicited and the unsolicited material differ considerably.
By solicitation we mean that the Dublin Quarterly has approached the author and requested for permission to publish the material--which usually, but not necessarily, has been published previously.
The unsolicited material is the submission sent to the Dublin Quarterly, at the author's own volition, for consideration and publication.
The Author of the solicited material has exclusive rights to it at all times. The right to the Dublin Quarterly is limited to only that which might have been agreed in the first instance.
The author guarantees that the unsolicited material submitted to the Dublin Quarterly is original, and has not been copied or lifted from other source(s).
The unsolicited material that is accepted for publication remains the full right of the Dublin Quarterly for three months from the date of publication. At this material time it must not be

republished or instigate to be republished elsewhere by the author or an agent without the consent of the Dublin Quarterly.
Three months from the date of publication, the material may then be archived in the Dublin Quarterly, with full rights reverting to the author. Thereafter, the unsolicited material may be put to other use by the author without prior permission of the Dublin Quarterly, but the author agrees that the Dublin Quarterly get its full credits.
The author consents to the Dublin Quarterly publishing all or part of the material submitted and authorises the reader to download, copy and store all or part of the material for private use only.

Conditions of Use:

The moral rights of the authors of the material published in the Dublin Quarterly have been asserted.
All the material published in the Dublin Quarterly may be downloaded, copied and stored for private use only.
The material must not be repackaged and/or distributed in any other form and for any other purpose without the express permission of the author, and if applicable, the Dublin Quarterly.
The material in the Dublin Quarterly is the intellectual property of an author and must be respected. It is criminal to do otherwise and culprit would be liable to prosecution.
